Thomas J. Herzfeld
Thomas J. Herzfeld is Chairman and
President of Thomas J. Herzfeld & Co., Inc.,
Thomas J. Herzfeld Advisors, Inc., and The Herzfeld Caribbean Basin Fund (NASDAQ: CUBA). He began his career in the securities industry in the 1960's and
formed a New York Stock Exchange member firm
in 1970. Tom is widely considered to
be the leading expert in the field of closed-end funds. He is author of the first textbook published on the subject The Investor's Guide to Closed-End Funds
(McGraw-Hill, 1979), as well as five other
books dedicated to the industry. He is
the publisher of The Investor's Guide to
Closed-End Fund’s
monthly research report and is frequently
interviewed on the subject. He holds a
B.S. and Ph.D (hon.) from Philadelphia
University and NASD Series 7, 24.
Cecilia L. Gondor
Cecilia L. Gondor is Executive Vice President of Thomas J. Herzfeld & Co., Inc., and Thomas J. Herzfeld Advisors, Inc., and Secretary Treasurer & CCO of The Herzfeld Caribbean Basin Fund. Ms. Gondor is registered with the NASD as a Financial and Operations Principal, Options Principal, and Registered Representative. She joined the firm in 1984. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Miami (’83) and NASD Series 7, 24, 27, 4, 63, 66, 55.

Erik M. Herzfeld
Erik M. Herzfeld is Head of the Alternative Strategies Group. He has a decade of Wall Street experience in the equity and currency derivatives markets. Erik has served in quantitative research, trading and management roles with both Lehman Brothers and JPMorgan
and was based in New York and Asia. He
is fluent in Japanese.
He holds a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University (’95) and an S.M. (MBA) in Financial Engineering from MIT’s Sloan School of Management (’97) and NASD
Series 7, 63.
Jason J. Leung
Jason J. Leung is the Head of the Global Strategies
Group. He has 10 years of experience on Wall Street in the Foreign Exchange Derivatives market. Jason started his trading career on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange with Swiss Bank Corporation. He has a wealth of trading and managerial experience in locations from London, Singapore and New York City for both UBS and Bank of America. Jason focuses on trading domestic and international closed-end funds. He holds a B.S. (’96) and M.S. (’97) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
